Helen is a very special girl. Despite being blind in one eye, she survived overcrowding and starvation, and thrived when we
brought her home.
Unlike many handicapped animals, Helen is the boss of our herd - no one crosses her (except Tiki), and she gets her share at the feeder and then some. She's wily too, though she's finally softening toward us a bit.
Helen had an excellent 2009 steer and this year's Miracle, though Miracle might not have been what we expected from her.
